U-Pick & Rafting

on this first-of-it’s-kind full day adventure! This year we are teaming up with Honey Rock Landing to bring you the ultimate summer day on the Western Slope. Our day begins on the banks of the Gunnison River with a U-pick experience at Honey Rock Landing Orchard. We will get an orchard tour, and the opportunity to pick fresh Cherries, peaches, or pears to our heart’s content! Your first 2 lbs of fruit are included.

After enjoying the “fruits of our labor”, we will launch our rafts, kayaks, and SUPs from the Honey Rock Landing boat ramp, and begin a fun, splashy river trip in Dominguez & Escalante National Conservation Area. Here we will have the opportunity to swim in the river, see big horned sheep, and bask in the warm Colorado sunshine. At noon, your guides will prepare our famous locally sourced organic lunch, which will be served river-side. After lunch we will enter the most spectacular section of the Dominguez & Escalante NCA, floating past towering red-rock canyon walls, and the mouth of Big Dominguez Canyon. Our day concludes at historic Bridgeport where our van, and the fruit we picked, will be waiting. Here we will say goodbye to the Dominguez & Escalante National Conservation Area, and taking an air-conditioned van ride back to Hotchkiss.
