The Hotchkiss course has 10 sister disc golf courses within a one-hour drive. Play another round at Big B’s Orchard (10 min from Hotchkiss) or at the Confluence Park Course in Delta, Colorado (20 min). Throw 18 holes at the Baldridge course in Montrose (45 min), or visit any of the 7 Grand Junction area disc golf courses, 3 of which are located alongside the Colorado River (1 hour).

So what is disc golf anyway? Disc golf is a game in which players throw their disc at a target, usually a 5' foot tall metal basket. It is played using rules similar to golf, the fewer throws it takes to reach the target, the better your score. Also like golf, it is usually played on a course of 9 or 18 holes. Players complete a hole by throwing a disc from a tee area toward a target, throwing again from the landing position of the disc until the target is reached. Usually, the number of throws a player uses to reach each target are tallied, and players seek to complete each hole in the lowest number of total throws. Still have questions?
